does anyone know where on the internet i can download mpeg shorts of super 8 shorts. The only place i have found so far is at www.cinemedia.net/super8. two films on this web page gave me a lot of info on the look, and how i could do my filming. With all the super 8 filmers out there, i imagined a page full of uploaded shorts. Can anyone help?

What are the two films on that website?
I've only been able to find 1, "Heads I Win".
Thanks,
Madrone

here's a page that has a couple of mine on it. really though, they don't look as good as they could. these were shot when i first got my camera and hadn't yet learned how to use it.
also, they were transferred by projector-aimed-at-the-wall and filmed by my DV camera.

my god, i hate popup windows and embedded quicktimes. what's wrong with a simple link that you can click to save, stream or whatever, at whatever size you like? i find myself doing "view source", search for "embed", copy the movie url and pasting it into quicktime player several times per day. why? do filmmakers generally want people to see their films at the smallest possible size?

by the way, searching for '"super 8" quicktime download' on google worked for me. http://www.super8site.com/quicktime/index.shtml for example, seems like a good source.

Mattias,
That's an interesting way to download them. I tend to check "save in cache" in the Quicktime Plug-In settings panel, then copy them over from the Cache folder. It really is annoying when they are embedded.

Haha!!!!!!
Clark, that pizzaman short was damn funny! You all have to go watch it! Haven't watched the others yet, but that is amazing you were able to talk someone into running around all those places in a pizza costume.

Try the www.thecfc.org. It's the webpage for the Columbus Filmmaker's Consortium out of Columbus Ohio. Ross, the founder of the group, has been shooting some of his PSA's for the CFC on Super-8. (I think of PSAs numbering in the late 20's or 30-ish in their list.)
I think he's got another short called "Minivan" on Showtime's site, but I don't know the URL off hand.
